🚩In this article, we have introduced the best cars for ECU Remapping. But what was the purpose of writing this article and how were the choices made?

Many of our customers, around the world, ask us this question: "Which is the best car for ECU tuning in our country?" They have a business goal for this question, which is the reason for writing this article. Our customers want to know which cars are more friendly for remapping so that they can develop their business by investing in advertising on these cars. Considering this point and the fact that our customers from all over the world ask us this question, we decided to answer these questions in the form of an article based on our experience in ECU tuning of various cars so that all our followers can see it and share their opinions with us.

❓But another question is, on what basis were the cars selected? Here we must mention a few points.

✅First of all, the cars we have chosen may not necessarily be the best cars for remapping in that country! Because our selection was cars that could be remapped even without using aftermarket parts and still achieve good numbers. So, there may be specific cars in each country that can undergo significant changes, but for the reasons we mentioned, these cars are not our focus.

Another point is that in this article, we have tried not to mention repetitive cars; in fact, each car is only listed once.

Also, please note that to be a bestseller of the chosen car in the respective country was also one of our selection parameters.

And as a final point, it is necessary to know that in cases like the Ford F-150, Golf, and other cars that have been produced for several years and have several generations, we have not made a distinction between different models because our goal was not to critique, review, or introduce cars. In this article, we have only mentioned the cars, their ECUs, and their engines.

1. Toyota RAV4 (Canada):

One of the most well-known compact crossover SUVs in Canada and also in the world, is the Toyota RAV4. The common ECUs for RAV4 are often found in the markets of Bosch and Denso. The 2-liter 143-horsepower engine is specific to Bosch markets, and Denso engines are also available in four engine sizes: 2, 2.2, 2.4, and 2.5 (in different “GEN” types) with engine codes such as 1AZ-FE, M20A-FKS, and A25A-FKS in the market.

2. Nissan Patrol (UAE):

One of the things that the United Arab Emirates is known for is the presence of super sports cars and expensive cars such as Bugatti, Ferrari, and Lamborghini. However, our chosen car for this country is the Nissan Patrol. Perhaps for off-road enthusiasts, the Nissan Patrol may be even more attractive than Ferrari and Lamborghini!

Three ECU brands, Bosch, Hitachi, and Motorola, have been used in various models of the Patrol, with engines of 3, 4, 4.5, 4.8, and 5 liters in this car (usually with the VK56VD engine code).

🔥We strongly recommend to you the Stage 2 and 3 remap of this car.

3. Ford 󠄀F Series (USA):

The popular and iconic F-150 series! No special explanation is needed!

The latest models of the F-150 available in the market (2024) include 8 types: XL, STX, XLT, TREMOR, LARIAT, KING RANCH, PLATINUM, and RAPTOR. The ECUs in these models also come from three brands: Bosch, Continental, and Ford. Ford's own ECU includes two types: EECV5 and EEC-V.

4. ISUZU D-MAX (Australia):

One of the most popular, best-selling, and remap friendliest pickup trucks in the Australian market is the Isuzu D-Max. After its Stage 1 remap, you will experience an increase of over 20% in torque and 15% in power.

In general, this vehicle has ECUs from 3 brands: Bosch, Transtron, and Delphi. The Bosch ECUs in this vehicle, which are usually from the MED and EDC series, come in 3 engine sizes: 1.5, 1.9, and 3 liters. The Delphi ECUs, equipped with ECU types such as MPC56X and engine code 4JJ1, come with engines of 2.5 and 3 liters, and the Transtron ECUs also come in three engine sizes: 1.9, 2.5, and 3 liters, with engine codes like 4HK1, 4JK1, 4JJ3, and so on.

🔥We highly recommend remapping of this vehicle.

7. Subaru Impreza WRX (Kenya):

We can see many used Japanese cars in Kenya, for example, the Subaru Impreza (WRX), which is typically available in the market with two types of ECUs: Denso and Hitachi. Denso ECUs, with engine sizes of 2 and 2.5 liters, use ECU types like SH7058, and Hitachi ECUs, in 4 different engine sizes of 1.5, 1.6, 2, and 2.5 liters, have ECU types such as SH2543 and M32R.

8. BMW 3 Series (Austria):

The BMW 3 Series, especially from the sixth generation onwards (with respect to the E46!), is our choice for Austria.

Most cars from the sixth generation onwards use ECUs from Bosch and Siemens (engines of 2, 2.5, and 3 liters). Additionally, Temic ECUs also control the gearbox unit of these cars.

9. Honda Civic (Malaysia):

The Honda Civic is one of the best cars for tuning worldwide. This popular car is available in several different models with various engines and ECUs, including those from Bosch, Keihin, Denso, and Denshigiken.

10. VW Golf (Germany):

It can be boldly stated that the Volkswagen Golf (especially from the sixth generation onwards), with its extraordinary engine, is among the top 10 sports cars in the world.

For different models of the Golf, there are several different engines (such as CRMB, CHHB, CUGA, CYAA and etc.), with most of their TCU being from the Temic brand and their ECUs from brands like Bosch, Continental, Siemens, and Magneti Marelli.

🔥The Golf is very remap-friendly, and we highly recommend tuning this car, especially its stage 2 and 3 tuning.

12. Peugeot 2008 (FRA):

Many of Peugeot's products are Remap-friendly, and the Peugeot 2008 is no exception to this rule.

This popular French car is mostly equipped with a Valeo ECU, but Continental SID 807 and Bosch EDC and ME series are also used in this vehicle. Engine codes EB2FA and DV6FE are among the engines used in the 2008, which are specific to the 1.2, 1.3, 1.4, and 1.6-liter engines of this car.
